The PSD format provides extended support for layering, alpha channels, paths, and vectors. The PSD source file included has the source image files usually in a sliced format which allows you to customize and make changes to the images on your template. This makes it very useful for customizing your website as you see fit. If any additional fonts are required, they are included with the Photoshop file.
